A few weeks ago Bob and I visited the Observatory at Mount Stromlo in Canberra.
We have both always been fascinated with all things space and this place was pure magic. The scenery was exquisite, with the rolling hills and vast view of bushland was truly beautiful.
In 2003 a horrendous bushfire tore through the site, taking with it telescopes, astronomical devices and historical buildings. Sadly these damaged, fire destroyed buildings still remain onsite, closed up and unable to be forgotten.
