If you’ve read my blog for a while you’d know I was a big fan of Kiehl’s and their products. The oen thing about them that will always be my favourite is the listing of the ingredients of their products on the outside of the packaging, right there, easy to see and read, and basically a staple part of the Kiehl’s range.
I’ve been trying the Calendula Range which includes a toner and water cream. The one thing I want to point out, the toner comes in a big bottle, as in it’s large, it’s not a tiny little thing like most toners, it’s about double the size of standard toner bottles and to me that’s a great selling point.
Let’s start at the word Calendula, what is it? Well what if I said Marigold? It’s just another name for the common plant and the name Calendula derives from the Marigold also being called the ‘little calendar’ or ‘little clock”. The flower petals have been used for many years for the treatment of muscle spasms, sore throats, menstrual pain, fevers and stomach ulcers. It is also commonly used in skincare and cosmetics.
Aside from stimulating healing, calendula oil can significantly boost the appearance of your skin. It can affect blood flow to the skin cells which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and age spots, and even the visibility of scars.
The toner is perfect and can be used for a variety of skin tones and contains no alcohol.
Gently cleanses and soothes normal to oily skin types. Contains no alcohol or harsh synthetic drying agents. May be used to soothe and improve problem areas
I love the water cream as it’s such a light moisturiser and absorbs instantly.
Visibly evens skin tone and boosts radiance in just one week
Helps visibly reduce redness with continued use
Helps improve uneven texture, dull skin and dry fine lines
Softens skin with lasting 24-hour
