Chocolate Superfood Shards

I can’t ever say no to baking.

Recipe or not I love to create cakes, slices & cookies. Today I suggested (as usual) that we make something quick & easy for dessert. I wanted to try out the chocolate shards ( sometimes called chocolate bark) for a while now.
It’s a super easy, very quick method.
Melt 1 cup of dairy free chocolate chips, with 1 tablespoon of carob powder & a pinch of Himalayan rock salt. Once melted stir in 1 tablespoon of unsweetened almond milk. I like to use Almond Breeze, it’s very light in calories.

Spread the mixture onto baking paper to about half a centimetre thick.

Top with Superfoods of your choice. We went with Goji Berries, Walnuts & Cashews. Refrigerate for two hours & then once hard, break into servings.

Goji Berries are good for all round health. They’re high in antioxidants, improve athletic performance, general wellbeing, increase calmness & reduce blood pressure. However they can interfere with diabetes medications.
