Bateman’s Bay

We were able to squeeze in another weekend away without kids, so we drove to Bateman’s Bay to spend at weekend again at the seaside.

Saturday morning we headed to Nourish on North which was a healthy living cafe, so your usual vegan foods plus local free range eggs and gluten free items, they were attached to a Go Vita store which was handy and we had a browse around after some breaky.

I had a chia pot and Bob and slice of gluten free banana bread.

From Go Vita I bought some vegan sauces and some fruit and nut mix.

We went Kayaking on Saturday and had an awesome time. We booked a double kayak from Region X which never actually confirmed our booking but had us on their books when we turned up.

We spent the afternoon exploring via car and followed a tourist route and stopped at beaches and lookouts and took photographs and spent ages looking at rock pools and ocean nooks.

The weather was a little breezy but we kept busy walking and snapping our photos.

We found a cute town called Mogo and spent some time meandering their quaint stores and I stopped for a coffee, that was amazing from at Jack and the Bean Store. We also visited Ted the Frenchie at Revamp Reuse Upcycle.

Sunday we packed up and headed to Bateman’s Bay Cycles and rented two bikes for a couple of hours and rode along the bay. It was a good end to our weekend as the weather was a little warmer and it was good to explore outside of driving a car.

Unfortunately our accommodation was terrible and a complete let down- so I don’t recommend staying at Corrigan’s Cove Resort.

If you do have strict eating rules as we do, there’s only a handful of places that are suitable to eat at, Nourish on North as mentioned although they don’t open on a Sunday and Cafe Crumb- although they were closed they entire time we were at the Bay so we didn’t get to visit.

Thankfully Domioes came through with the goods when we were struggling for dinner on Saturday night.

I hope you had a good weekend, and here’s to a good working week.

Simply,

Natalie Laura
