Bath Bombs

These are a great idea for kids, especially as it’s school holidays.

You can add whatever scent you like and even add potpourri or your own dried petals for extra effect.

You will need:

100g Baking Soda

50g Corn Starch

50g Citric Acid

50g Epsom Salt

2 tbs Water

1 tbs Essential Oil

1 tsp Food Colouring

1 tsp Coconut Oil melted

Flower Petals- optional

Combine the dry ingredients and make sure they are all blended and free of lumps, I just used a hand held whisk.

Slowly, and I mean slowly add the wet ingredients, The reason for doing this slowly is to stop the citric acid from fizzing.  You want to save all the fizz for your bath!

Once everything is combined, either using a mold or your hands create your shapes and leave to harden for at least eight hours- I placed mine in the fridge to help them set.

You’re then ready to go.  Pop them in your bath and watch them fizz away.

I used lime essential oil and red food dye to make cute little marshmallow   mounds in mini muffin trays.
