It’s nearly that lovely dovey, cutesy wootsie time of year.
Whether you think it’s a commercialised holiday or a money making scam and a particular day is not required for showing how much you love and care for someone, it’s still lovely, romantic day for those that love to celebrate by gifting.
A super easy way of getting organised for Valentine’s Day is to head over to ETSY and grab your handmade, beautiful, love-filled gifts in time for February 14th.
ETSY is filled with so many gorgeous items, including many personalised items, cards, gift tags and boxes, jewellery, beauty products and little token gifts.

Whether you’re looking for a beautiful necklace, hair accessory or that ring to pop the question, the jewellery created by makers are exquisite and the range and styles are endless.
One of the things I adore looking at on the ETSY website is the amount of unique home wares, everything from handmade plates and cups, to key trays, vases, blankets, knitted items and floral wreaths.
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about your significant other but it can be about a significant other- a friend, family member, child, co worker. It’s about sharing the love and appreciation for people.
The Feast of Saint Valentine was established by Pope Gelasius I in AD 496 to be celebrated on February 14 in honour of the Christian martyr, Valentine of Rome, who died on that date in AD 269. It is also thought that it coincides with Lupercalia, an ancient Roman fertility festival which fell between February 13th to 15th hence Valentine’s Day February 14th.
I’ve been having a look at all the goodies on ETSY to get some ideas for next month and I found some super cute items which might give you a few ideas for surprising your loved ones,
I love little handmade cards like this bin chicken card which is just so cute and definitely make my girlfriend chuckle.
There’s a myriad of cards available with so many different designs, colours, quotes and I love you’s that you’ll be sure to find something that suits you and the one you love.
I also adore this card from Able and Game which gave me such a chuckle.
The other cute idea for V-Day is a custom portrait of you and your lover, and there are some gorgeous ideas here from ETSY. They’re super super cute and there’s free delivery too.
Leave me a comment with your favourite ETSY store or what you’re buying for Valentine’s Day.
Simply,
Natalie Laura
